The At-One-Ment Project, based currently at the Centro Pro Unione in Rome as a collaboration between the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement with the Pontifical Lateran University, aims to equip ambassadors and agents of reconciliation who can foster unity in spaces of division: a core charismatic commitment of the Society of the Atonement. The current phase of the project, from March to June 2025, has undertaken to:
– Identify and map the breadth of reconciliation organizations in and around Rome, considering these as partners in mission;
– Develop engagement strategies to build and maintain long-term relationships with these organizations and other stakeholders in mediation and reconciliation;
– Manage and improve communications among stakeholders to ensure transparency, consistency, and creativity in collaboration;
– Amplify the recognition of the Atonement Friars as leaders and educators in the field of reconciliation, through targeted relationship-building and communication activities.
This presentation at Graymoor will provide an overview of the At-One-Ment Project, detailing the tools used, the strategies implemented, and the results achieved thus far, offering a clear and effective summary of the project’s progress and considering how it will grow into its next phase — both in Rome and beyond.
The event is part of a Lunch & Learn series for the Friars, Sisters, and Staff of the Society of the Atonement, but it is also open to interested members of the general public. RSVP to Paul at plipowski@atonementfriars.org by July 25, 2025.
